Class Materials

This is a listening and writing activity that students completed in the middle of a unit on gender stereotypes and identity. It really pulled together the vocabulary they were learning, and it was amazing to see their reflections on this topic.

This is a planning document that provides step by step instructions for peer teaching projects available to advanced/bilingual students at the end of each unit.

This is a unit playlist that serves as an anchor for students during and after class. Students enjoy the interactive activities, different ways to engage with the material, and the fact that all learning resources for the unit are in one place.

This is a unit playlist that serves as an anchor for level two students in a multi-level grade seven class. Students enjoy the interactive activities, having freedom and choice, different ways to engage with the material, and the fact that all learning resources for the unit are in one place.

This is a Google Slide deck I used for a unit project about colonialism in Latin America. We worked over the course of three weeks to examine the facts and share opinions for a “case” for an imaginary trial of Christopher Columbus, his men and the taíno Indians. Level one students were given the role of jurors, and Level two students were assigned to be a defendant or member of the prosecution team. Students really enjoyed researching and defending their opinions in Spanish!
